PROBLEM

Builders and contractors rely on product specifications to make informed decisions. However, large blocks of technical content can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate in a digital interface.

GOAL

To balance clarity and simplicity without sacrificing the depth of information users depend on.

DESIGN APPROACH

The project followed a streamlined workflow, with the sitemap defining the site structure before moving directly into UI design. My focus was on adapting the existing print identity into a responsive website and refining the user experience through layout, hierarchy and navigation.

The information architecture was simplified by grouping products into three distinct categories. This allows users to scan the homepage quickly and navigate directly to the area that is most relevant to their needs,

A key challenge emerged around the product specifications section. While the client felt the amount of text created visual clutter, the specifications were critical for users making purchasing decisions.

Instead of removing specifications entirely, I introduced accordion interactions to reveal detailed content when needed. This approach reduces cognitive overload while still supporting users who require in-depth technical details.
